Nature Therapist - who is it?

A naturopath, or herbalist, or phytotherapist is a plant enthusiast with a holistic worldview, whose goal is to bring people into deep contact with nature. Human beings should depend on nature and be in direct contact with it, because that is where everything necessary for life comes from. Each one of us is part of a greater whole. The environment we live in affects us and we in turn affect the environment. Estonians have always been considered a witch people, thanks to their knowledge of the medicinal plant.

Life on Earth cannot function without plants. Humans breathe in the oxygen produced by plants, use plants for food and medicine, and dead plants decompose to form soil. If we can notice our surroundings, we will discover that plants communicate with us and want to support us. Daniel Chamovitz's bookWhat a Plant Knowstells us more about this.

Estonian natural therapist and holistic healing

The naturopath looks at the whole person and uses plants, oils, tinctures, salves, translators - anything that can be used to access the power of the plant - as tools. Elements are often used to support different conditions. The ancient Greeks (450 BC) believed that we are all made up of four elements: earth, water, air and fire. This holistic approach is also used by herbalists. Knowing our own constellation helps us to know our element, which in turn helps us to understand ourselves and others better and to support more health in a way that suits the element.

You've probably heard that drinking herbal teas is a good remedy for colds. To a certain extent this is true, but is it always necessary for everyone?

What does water do to fire? Dries it up, or perhaps the fire needs tinctures, whether alcohol or vinegar based, for a quick cure. The tincture will help keep the fire going and the body can successfully heal. The active ingredients in the tincture are absorbed in the mucous membrane of the mouth and get into your bloodstream more quickly. In addition, many medicinal herbs have their strongest effects when fresh, and tinctures allow this freshness to last for years.

FIRE - Aries , Lion, Sagittarius

  • Fire is passionate and warm, and often the heart of a group. Of the four elements, fire is arguably the most fun, the most graphic and the most dynamic. However, as in everyday life, fire must be controlled, for without it, its temper can destroy everything around it

What does water do to air? Water does not stay still in the chaos of the wind, so there is no great benefit, but fortunately no harm either. For a quick cure, you should use vapours, incense, translators or slippers instead. Anything that can be inhaled with the lungs. The same technique has been used for thousands of years and is 100% natural, safe and non-addictive. After all, every plant contains different compounds that, when inhaled, affect the body and the nervous system.

TAB - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

  • Air is in constant motion and the most focused of the four elements, allowing you to be mindful and see the big picture. On the other hand, it can lead to a lack of social courtesy.

Roads suit the Water element very well, as they are made for it. Herbal teas smell and taste good, and are also rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants

WATER - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

  • The surface of the water may seem calm, but beneath the surface emotions are in constant motion. He is compassionate and caring, and can relate easily to others, which can sometimes make him too trusting.

Drinking tea suits the Earth element, but anything that can be ingested in a real, physical form works fastest. Plants in honey are a very effective way of ingestion. For example, headaches are relieved well by the addition of ginger flowers to honey.

MAA - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

  • Earth is stable, reliable and hardworking. She is practical and logical and stands firmly for her beliefs, which can end in a stubbornness just to show her point of view.

This certainly doesn't mean we shouldn't drink tea or use incense, tinctures, etc. A holistic approach to herbal medicine outlines ways to get the results you want more quickly. A nice herbal tea is always a good way to start the day or end the evening with a book. It is a known fact that tea is one of the healthiest drinks next to water.

Why is nature important to us?

A Japanese study confirms that a 20-minute walk in the forest reduces stress by 13%. Just think what happens to our skin or our energy field when we use medicinal herbs daily, either on the menu or in natural cosmetics. We are one with nature, or perhaps, following the principle of resemblance, herbs are suited as powerful force multipliers for our energy field. Often, just holding a plant in your hand is enough to feel the effects. Medicinal plants have been around for centuries, which means that their effects are many times better and stronger than those of some products synthetically created in a laboratory. The body accepts it more quickly.

The naturopath knows that herbal medicine is slow and requires patience, but it is very effective because it does not damage the human body. The best comparison is between a school bus and a taxi. A plant is like a driving instructor because it teaches you to drive and at some point you no longer need it. Whereas a drug is a taxi driver who ends up driving your life and you can't drive at all
